Our Medical Director, Radiologists, Supervising Physicians and
Technologists are at the top of their fields
in both education and experience:
Medical Director: W.R. McArthur,
M.D. is a Florida Board Certified Orthopedic
Surgeon with 37 years
experience. He is also Board Certified
in hand surgery, serves as an
Expert Medical Advisor for the State
of Florida and is a Certified
Independent Medical Examiner by the
American Board of Independent
Medical Examiners. He is a
Founder member of the Gulf
Coast Medical Center and the
Northwest Florida Surgery
Center. He serves as a Consultant to
Children’s Medical Services, United Cerebral Palsy and has
routinely worked with the Episcopal Diocese of the Central Gulf
Coast and the Disaster Relief Team of the Southern Baptist
Foreign Mission Board providing emergency medical care after
international disasters.
Radiologists: Bay Radiology
is a multi-specialty radiology group that has
proudly served the radiology
needs of Panama City since 1958.
The ten radiologists are
sub-specialized in the various disciplines
of radiology, including neuro,
interventional and musculoskeletal.
They provide 24 hour
turn-around coverage for Gulf Coast
Medical Center, Bay Medical
Center, Southern Orthopedics,
The Brain and Spine Center as
well as Gulf Imaging.
Along
with Bay Radiology, Gulf Imaging utilizes the services of
Abner Martin Landry, III, M.D.,
F.A.C.R. of Virtual Radiology,
Inc. Dr. Landry is an expert
at women’s imaging, specializing in
breast MRI.
He was a professor of Radiology at the Louisiana
State University
Medical Center and is a member of The
American College of
Radiology, the Radiological Society of
North America and the Florida
Radiological Society among other
professional societies.
Technologists: The Chief MRI
Technologist of Gulf Imaging is Mr. Hai Bui.
Unlike most MRI Technologists,
Mr. Bui has a 4-year Bachelor
of Science degree in radiologic
technology from the University
of South Alabama. His training
took place at multiple hospitals
Throughout the Mobile area, including- Mobile Infirmary,
Springhill Memorial, Providence Hospital as well as the University
of South Alabama Medical Center and its affiliates. He is
certified
in radiography and MRI.
Mr. Bryan
Sharp is also a full-time MRI technologist at Gulf
Imaging. He graduated at the
top of his class from the Gulf Coast
Community College School of
Radiologic Technology. He has
two years experience and is
registered in MRI and X-ray.
Mrs.
Karon Parsons also graduated at the top of her class at
Gulf Coast Community College
School of Radiologic Technology.
She is the Chief Mammography
Technologist at Gulf Imaging.
She has over ten years
experience in mammography and has been
certified in Digital
Mammography for over a year. She is also
certified in Computed
Tomography.
Mrs.
Graciana Burns graduated from Emilio Aguinaldo College
School of Radiologic Technology
in Manilla, Phillipeans in 1983.
She started in general x-ray
and quickly progressed to other
modalities, including
mammography. After working in Saudi
Arabia for a year and rotating
through many modalities, she
moved to the United States and
immediately obtained her
reciprocal license. She is now
accredited in Digital Mammography
as well.
Jill Mikkelson is the ultrasound technologist having graduated
from
Pensacola Junior College with a
degree in diagnostic medical sonography.
She has her advanced certification in American Registry
of Diagnostic
Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
Administrative: Mr. W.R.
McArthur, Jr. is a part owner and the Administrator
of Gulf Imaging. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Tulane
University and a law degree from the St. Thomas University
School of law.
Mr. Donald A. Brothers is the Marketing Director with ten
years of medical experience. He graduated in the top of his class
from the University of West Alabama in 1988.
Ms. Tina Scott is the Director of the Front Desk. She is
currently
pursuing a nursing degree at Gulf Coast Community College and
has 14 years of medical experience.
Mr. Chau Bui is a patient coordinator at Gulf Imaging and is
currently pursuing a degree in Radiologic Technology from
Gulf
Coast Community College.
